Founded in 1984, the International Machine Tool Exhibition of Russia (Metalloobrabotka) is jointly organized by the Russian Machine Tool Association and Expocentre Fairgrounds, and supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the European Association of Machine Tool Industries. It has been successfully held for 25 editions to date.
As Russia’s largest machine tool exhibition, it stands as the premier trade event for machine tools and advanced metal processing technologies in Eastern Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and also ranks among the world’s top ten leading machine tool trade exhibitions.
The exhibition gathers leading manufacturers, suppliers and distributors from the global machine tool industry, attracting a large number of professional visitors. It covers a wide range of sectors, including machinery manufacturing, defense industry, aerospace, heavy machinery, rail vehicles, oil and gas engineering, shipbuilding, metallurgy, power plant engineering, industrial robotics and automation.
